A: No! Chickens are grown on farms with large sheds in Australia, and walk around freely.
Q: Do we import our chickens?
A: No we do not. In fact due to federal quarantine and industry regulations chicken cannot be imported.
Q: Are the chickens Hormone free?
A: Yes. In alignment with federal and industry regulations Hormones,
Steroids and growth enhancers are prohibited in the growing and breeding of chickens for over 40 years.
Q: What is Halal Chicken?
A: Halal Chicken is Chicken slaughtered according to Islamic Shariah Law.
Q: Is our chicken Halal?
A: Fresh Poultry hand slaughters their chicken on a daily basis according to Shariah law.
Q: Are the chickens given antibiotics?
A: Antibiotics are given only when necessary to prevent or treat a clinical disease. They are not used for growth promotion. If antibiotics are used, they are approved by the AUSTRALIAN PESTICIDE and VETERINARY MEDICINE AUTHORITY (APVMA).
There is no residue of feed antibiotics present in poultry products.
Q: Do you supply wholesalers?
A: No we do not supply any wholesalers, due to many wholesalers abusing the trust we place in them when we supply them our products. We supply direct to the public through our retail shop at 47 Gow st Padstow and a shop at Liverpool opening soon.
We deliver products ONLY in our Company marked trucks. WE DO NOT DELIVER IN SMALL UNMARKED VEHICLES. If you have any inquiries regarding who we supply, please contact our office on 9790 4400.

Q: Does Fresh Poultry sell other products?
A: yes we do, Fresh Poultry has an extensive range of poultry and poultry related products, including chicken pieces, marinated chicken, whole chicken, portion controlled fresh chicken burgers, smallgoods and processed products such as nuggets and breast schnitzel. Also Fresh Poultry is the exclusive supplier of FAISEL GOURMET SMALLGOODS (nationally excluding Melbourne)
Q: How to identify Fresh Poultry products?
A: Fresh poultry will soon be placing their assorted sized whole chickens in our branded poly bags (link to sample picture). Keep an eye out for our Halal Certificates and window symbols placed in the stores of businesses that retail and further process our product.
You can inquire with us at any time about whom we supply. You, the customer can play a role in keeping the market honest by assisting us if you believe a business is mixing our Halal products with non-Halal products by informing us and we will take the necessary steps to ensure that practice is eradicated.
